They surprise me. I was expecting the color in this one to be ugly as all sin.
It has either black or light tan as a recommended interior color.
It looks loose, but it’ll tighten up pretty well

I love Dessert Khaki as they call that color. It works so perfectly on the Crosstrek.

Did you guys do that part of the door as well?

We did. Everything that has fabric upholstery from the factory gets leather or vinyl. There are a few exceptions to this - VW door panels have to be broken to put leather or vinyl on them. Same with 16+ explorers.

I would much like to do this to my base Forester.

You’re in Texas, right? We have branches in Austin, Beaumont, Houston, DFW area and a franchise in San Antonio. Click Here to find phone numbers for those locations and they can give you a quote as to the cost. Here in Charlotte we’d charge you between $900-1200 plus tax depending on options and vehicle, etc.
We have lifetime warranty, too.

Thanks! Would it be better to go to the franchise here in SA or one of the branches? (Also probably need to wait a few months, my wife is still getting over the price tag for the alloy wheels.)

I’d say call around for prices. Head to whichever shop is closest and look at the work they do .
